Suffolk trade mark specialist, Ward Trade Marks, one of the UK’s leading trade mark attorneys, has hired a new specialist lawyer to boost the capacity of their growing business.
Trade marks comprise logos, straplines, words and other visual ways of representing a brand. They are a key part of a company’s identity, a symbol of their relationship with customers and a key asset on their balance sheets.
Failure to register trade marks correctly in different countries may mean they can be used by competitor companies.
Built on founder Rachael Ward’s quarter-century of trade mark expertise, since 2014 the company has established itself as a market-leading specialist law firm among both major corporates and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Suffolk trade mark specialist firm now secured the services of Angela Thornton-Jackson. Angela is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with more than 17 years’ experience in trade mark private practice and has worked with many companies advising on all aspects of global brands, including clearance searches, trade mark prosecution and infringement advice.
Angela is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) and a Professional Representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EU IPO).
Angela said “I’m thrilled to be part of this growing success story. What makes Ward Trade Marks so different is that it focusses solely on helping its clients to register and protect their trade marks.
“In a globalised market place, clients need the professionalism and attention to detail that comes from using a specialist trade mark attorney to help them get it right the first time.”
Rachael Ward welcomed Angela’s joining the company: “this gives us an even greater breadth and depth to ensure our clients have the best trade mark protection possible both in the UK and across dozens of overseas markets.
“As the fifth member of the Ward Trade Marks team, Angela’s appointment is a significant step forward in our growing success.”
